Touch-A-Truck Event

Most kids would love a chance to climb up in a big shiny truck. So on Tuesday, June 23, Ceres Solutions participated in The Touch-A-Truck event, which allowed kids to explore up close all types of different vehicles. This was the first year for this event, sponsored by the Vincennes Township Fire Department and Knox County Department of Park and Recreation, and was located in the parking lot of the First Baptist Church in Vincennes, Indiana.

Several were in attendance to see vehicles from different businesses. “We wanted kids to learn about what different businesses work with on a daily basis,” said Rick Goff, Branch Manager at Vincennes. According to Goff there were several businesses that participated, including trucks from Ceres Solutions. This event allowed kids and adults to interact with a variety of vehicles, from motorcycles to fire trucks.

Not only was this event a great opportunity for kids to honk horns, turn steering wheels, and look out of windshields of some big trucks, it’s also gave them a chance to talk to the drivers behind the wheels of those trucks. “We were really glad we had the opportunity to be part of such a great community event,” said Goff.
