Thanks for a Successful Year

As we are finishing up the financials for our fiscal year ending on July 31, 2008, we know that we have had a very good year. We are looking forwards to sharing the results with you at our annual meetings in November and December.
As we celebrate national cooperative month in October, it is our honor to work for our members to help supply the products and services that are necessary to be successful in today’s competitive and ever changing business environment. National Cooperative month celebrates cooperatives and their members who contribute to the nation’s economy and local communities. We appreciate your help in making our business a success. Again, thank you for your business and have a safe harvest.

After 19 loyal years of service, Mike Miller, manager of the Rensselaer Petroleum Department, will be retiring on or around December 1, 2008. Mike started with the Co-op in November of 1989 as manager of the Grain Bin Department. When that department was dissolved, Mike moved into management of the Rensselaer Petroleum Department.
On or around November 1, 2008, Vince Brown, current manager of the Roselawn branch will transfer to the Energy Division to become the new manager of the Rensselaer Petroleum Department. Vince started with the Co-op in January of 1989. Vince began his career as agronomy sales at the Roselawn location and then became the manager in 1997.
Today, Gary Fulk started with us as the new manager of the Roselawn branch. He comes to us from the North Hayden (Lowell) location of Lake County Co-op. Gary worked for Cargill as a salesman/applicator from 1997 to 2001. Then he joined the cooperative system working for Lake County Co-op at their North Hayden (Lowell) location as salesman/applicator. He then became the manager of that location in 2003.
Gary and his wife Heather reside in Lowell with their two daughters, Chelsea who is 17 and Haley who is 9. Please join me in thanking Mike for his 19 years of service, congratulating Vince on his new responsibilities, and welcoming Gary to Ceres Solutions.
